Our story.

It began not as you may think with Tykie.



Mr Dub

A Vdub nut since the 1990s, his first job was restoring bay window and split screen Vdubs, working on the body work and engines.

Never really stopped there, we have lost count how many Dubs he has owned over the years.

Mrs Dub

Also had many Vdubs over the years from Beetles and Golfs to T25s and a few others in between.

Takes a dubber to know a dubber they met via a Facebook club West Midlands T25 Club. They spoke many a time from 2014, but never met up in person as Mr Dub lived in Wales and Mrs Dub resided across the border in England. (A Middle earth distance apart)

They ended up with different partners but kept in touch bonded by their love of dubs.

Fast-forward to 2019 when they were both single, and decided it was time to have a date and see if the bond could build a very long bridge. Mr Dub came to England and was fated to never leave.

They married. Swapping Facebook notifications for Wedding bells.

Proving that all Vdubs have a horn.

How Tykie come about?

Completely by accident. Whoopsie. On a Whim.

Was on Facebook market place just browsing for a small van for work ( Painting Gear ). I showed Mrs Dub This because it was cute, she instantly said we need to go see it, we did, no oil, no water in her, battery was flat, thought oh its going to need a new engine. 

Anyway my Vdub club mates egged me on to buy it. I put in some offers, eventually the owner accepted i still wasn't convinced it was a good buy at the time.

Mr Dub went to pick it up, drove it home thinking it'll break down, but she didn't. 

Within a week of Bringing her home, as it was already partially converted in the rear, decided it was way too good for work although it was used for a short while, we quickly got to work and completed the conversion to a stealth camper van. Lots of money spent, still costing us a fortune but... we love her dearly.

People started talking about her, looking at her, asking questions wherever we went, So Tykie was born, Here we are now.

A fully converted micro campervan, Fully Mobile Disco Services and just our daily vehicle too.
